About Branch 50

Over 80 Years Of Service To Veterans And The Community

We are situated on the corner of Belmont and Gage in the City or Kitchener Ontario, Canada. The history of this Branch takes us back to 1926. It was founded by World War I veterans. The Royal Canadian Legion itself was founded in 1925.

After World War II, Branch 50 had over 3,000 Members. Since then 5 other Branches have been created in the area of which Branch 50 is the Mother Branch. Within the years since World War II, Korean Veterans, Associate and Fraternal and veterans from Allied Forces have joined the Branch.

In the Foyer of Branch 50 is found a large Plaque bearing the names of more than 500 Twin City, Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, men who died during the two World Wars. It was unveiled in 1959.
