Members may rent all or part of our facility for parties,
weddings, meetings etc. Non-members must have a current member to
sponsor the hall rental. In either case the signing member must be
present for the entire duration of the event.

Rental Agreement: TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Wherever it appears in these terms and conditions, the name “Legion” is
interpreted to mean “The Royal Canadian
Gies Branch (Ont. 50)”
The period of rental shall be from 8 PM to 1 AM. Access to the facilities to
decorate is available at 6 PM. Those decorating, however, must work around

Non-Members will be charged a Rental Fee of $250+H.S.T @13%=$32.50 Total
Rental Cost $282.50+$200 Damage Deposit.
The Rental Cheque will be cashed immediately. An additional Cheque for
$200.00 as a Damage Deposit will be submitted not later than 30 days before
the event. This amount to be refunded once it has been established that no
damage has occurred to the facility caused by party guests.
Liability: The applicant accepts full responsibility for any loss, damage,
or breakage to the facilities and equipment arising from occupancy.
Determination of such loss/damage will be at the sole discretion of the
Legion. The Legion shall not be held liable for any personal injury or loss
or damage to property resulting from occupancy of the premises.
Property introduced into the premises by the applicant in the course of
lawful occupancy, must be removed from the premises immediately after the
event. Seasonal decorations including posters and notices may not be
introduced to the premises without express permission.
Alcoholic beverage service: Alcoholic beverages are served only under the
provisions of the Liquor License Act of Ontario. The Duty Steward is solely
responsible to ensure that no person under the age of 19 years is served.
Beverage service will cease at 1 AM, and the premises must be vacated by
1:30 AM. Under no circumstances may persons renting the facility be allowed
to bring Alcoholic beverages into the facility.
The agreement does not allow sole occupancy of the premises by the applicant
and guests, as the Legion must remain open to Members. In no circumstances,
however, does the privilege of occupancy extend to a third party
The applicant must be a Member in good standing of RCL Br 50, and must
attend the event in its entirety.
Cancellation: All applications are subject to review by an appointed
Committee of Branch Members, and the Legion reserves the right to cancel
this reservation by providing written notice of such cancellation to the
applicant, not less than thirty (30) days prior to the date of the function.
Payments received will be fully refunded provided no unusual costs have been
sustained. The applicant has these same rights and conditions of
There are no kitchen facilities, therefore, the applicant must provide their
own catering and clean-up.
Dress code: Standard Legion dress code shall be in effect at all times,
including NO HEADGEAR in the clubroom. Exceptions to be made for performers
with headgear as part of their show dress, or part of the evening’s theme,
while actually performing only.
The Legion reserves the right at its sole discretion, to insist upon
adequate policing/security during the period of occupancy.
alcoholic beverages are sold by means of tickets, a sum equal to ten
per cent (10%) of gross sales shall be retained by the Legion as a
Shuffleboards, Pool Tables, and dart boards are to remain covered and are
out of bounds to attendees.
