Remembrance Day, Sunday, November 11th, will see Branch 50 at capacity as we join together in comradeship, to pay tribute to all Canadians who fought for our freedom and show support for our troops of today. This Remembrance Day – Please wear a Poppy and if you see a veteran, say Thank You, and offer him/her a seat.
Public Relations Officer Report
Thank you to all the members who have volunteered to assist with our November 11th activities with donations of stew, rum or their time to man the stew pots.
If you have children or grandchildren who are interested in Track & Field, please tell them about the Royal Canadian Legion Track & Field program. The youth of today are our future.
The new web-site will be up and running in a few weeks. Please check the branch bulletin board for all the details when you visit.
Volunteers are welcome to assist with stuffing envelopes for mailing out the Dugout. If you can spare an hour each month, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. You can sign your name on the list posted or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A box has been placed in front of the Branch sign to receive small gift items for veterans at Parkwood Hospital in London. A delegation of members from Branches 50 & 532 will be going to Parkwood Hospital on Sunday, November 25th, in the morning, to present the gift boxes to the veterans.
